Based on the average review of 4.4, the The Roost is definitely worth a visit.

What Nayvee likes about The Roost:
Busy little pit stop in the heart of Tideswell, stopped for a snack after a walk , cakes were large and lovely , coffee lacking slightly (Vanilla Latte either forgot to put the Vanilla in or just not enough) wouldn't put us off returning. All the staff friendly and efficient. Service: Dine in Price per person: £10–20 View all feedback.

What Christine Moore doesn't like about The Roost:
I bought 2 lots of butter on Saturday which are rancid. Also offered a discount on some cheese that I was told was just out of date. Actually it was a month old and he charged me full price disgusted Food drinks: Nothing more to say Service: 1 View all feedback.

"Just had dinner at Curry’s cottage at lover leap. Very cute little Indian restaurant. Atmosphere: very nice and romantic but people like me with eye sight issues might struggle due to dim lights (depends where you sit) Service: was nice and quick. Though server was not very social. He wasn’t rude but he didn’t smiled either. Not even once. Food: taste was amazing. Spot on. Portions: mains are more than enough for 1 person but portions are out of proportion. Had to order extra naan and portion of rice to finish mains (didn’t wanted to have a take away) so now I’m stuffed. Price: we ordered mix grill as starter, saag paneer (Spinach with cheese cubes) and Dali Gosht (lentils with lamb), 2 naan and 2 portion or pulao rice and paid £41.95. Overall experience was very nice and I will come back if I will visit stoney Middleton again."

"An old pub with good music, interesting owners and good food. I would say that this pub is a really good choice in this area!"

"Went out to REMS for one of the BEST family meals EVER on Good Friday Evening! A Fantastic selection of TAPAS all cooked to a very high standard, with a good selection of different gins for the wife too!! The kids even had a second portion of their favourite dish, long after the adults were full! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. It is easy to find being on the main street through Chapel-en-le-Frith."
