What George Davies doesn't like about El Gato Negro Tapas Manchester:
Ridiculously expensive resulting in absolutely no value to the occasion. Anybody dining in this restaurant must be aware that the pricing is set at a level that defies economic common sense. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback. What Rosie B likes about El Gato Negro Tapas Manchester:
Made a lunch reservation and had the deal of 3 tapas. Delicious food, good size portions, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. I think without the lunch deal it is too expensive so wouldn’t come back and pay full price as there are better value tapas places in Manchester. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch View all feedback.

read moreDining at this restaurant can be quite the splurge, with prices that may shock some. However, the lunch deal offering 3 tapas was a hit with one reviewer, who praised the delicious food, generous portions, and pleasant atmosphere. Another diner praised the gluten-free options available, noting the attentiveness of the staff in catering to special dietary needs. A couple celebrating their anniversary had an excellent experience, particularly enjoying the food and service while seated at the chef's table. On the other hand, one reviewer found the service lacking due to understaffing, though the food quality was still rated highly. Despite the positive reviews, some felt that the restaurant didn't quite live up to the high expectations set for Spanish cuisine in Manchester. Overall, the consensus seems to be that this restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent food, though prices may be on the higher side for some.
