What User likes about The Angel:
Somehow, this old town has survived the massive renovation in this area of the North Quarter. It is a bit ashamed and needs a sympathetic refurbishment, but it is an oasis for real ale and big cedar. A vimto flavors 7.5%! Has a friendly atmosphere and worth a visit. View all feedback.
What max s doesn't like about The Angel:
Very disappointed. This pub has lost it's former glory. Hardly anyone in on a Saturday lunchtime. Maybe because, it's freezing cold, no food, not even crisps. The food here was legendary. No fire, even though there is an open fire. Apparently they have no coal or wood. I feel sorry for the barman, he must be so disillusioned View all feedback.
We have often included The Angel in our real ale days out in Manchester but hadn't been for several years until the weekend just gone. Oh what a disappointment!...
