Our head table wasn't served because my husband is a talker and didn't finish his salad right away like everyone else. The bride had to ask for them to serve the head table. It was a disappointment that we would be served last. I reached out after the wedding and was told it is their policy to serve the head table once the bride and groom are done with their salads.
