What Rotorhead4 doesn't like about Tavern On The Ave:
Came with a party of three but wasn?t too hungry. I asked if I could eat off of the kids menu and was denied. For an analogy I asked if I could get a kids order to go and she said yes. I said I would be ok and just visited with my party. Keep in mind thiswasn?t a Karen about this or argue. It is just idiotic to deny the meal vs not making a sale. What a great place. We've been twice now to watch the Mavericks NCAA hockey tournament and the food and drinks are awesome and reasonably priced. Highly recommend the fish and chips, the Cubana sandwich, and the Moscow Mules are tops (especially the Watermelon . Beware of the carrot cake it's HUGE and incredibly tasty. BTW Amanda is a great server.
Graduation dinner reservation. They were ready for us as we walked in. We were seated right away our orders were taken. They were very busy so we did have to wait little longer for food to be served but it was hot delicious. Wide variety of options on menu. It was a noisy bustiling place so if you are looking for quiet, this would not be it. Great place to watch a game. I would highly recommend!
Awesome bar/restaurant. Friendly staff, great food. Cheese curds were excellent. Very clean place and happy atmosphere. Nice bathrooms too.
The service was great we really enjoyed our waitress. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The food was good we didn't have any issues with what we ordered. We thought it was a little overpriced for what we received.
Had a great birthday lunch at The Tav on the Ave. It is locally owned and they have so much good food, it is hard to choose off the menu. Great burgers, fish tacos, and sandwiches! Be sure to stop by if you're in town for an event. You won't be disappointed. Lots of alcohol options, plenty of TV's for the sports person and a great family atmosphere too!
