Gula - Maó

Picked Gula from a row of otherwise v similar venues on the port and sat inside for a change. The tapas were fresh and generously portioned, the staff friendly and helpful (they told us we'd ordered too much and only have a few then see how we felt...they were right as we were very full with what we had). Soundtrack and ambience pretty good too.

It's not over touristy, some staff speak some English, but it's an advantage if you speak some basic Spanish. Relaxed bar very close to the Xorigeur Gin distillery and the port buildings. Pomada on ice is absolutely exceptional, tapas are fresh, made on the premises and quite generous in size. Seems to be popular with local people which is a recommendation in itself in my eyes. I like the place. Good music, drink and food. What's not to like?

Superb authentic Spanish feel and ambiance to this bar restaurant. Great range of freshly prepared dishes, Spanish and otherwise. Excellent service and great prices. Good range of drinks and see friendly service. Overall great experience.

Stopped here for an extended lunch on two occasions during our week in Menorca. Both times I had a burger whilst my wife had the Salmon salad and they were excellent. We enjoyed sitting outside in a sun trap watching the world go by whilst enjoying a couple of beers. Recommended
