Of the 37 years I've lived in the area, this was my first time visting the Alden Cafe. The place was empty and not much going on. We were there about 8pm on a Saturday evening too. I've since been back a few times and have actually stayed to hang out and have some food. One major plus, they have fried pickles! I've also tried the buffalo wings (medium) and they are phenomenal!! Hot pork sandwich and Italian sausage and pepper sandwich are both good. Fries available for an upcharge. Portions of fries are very small. Hardly anyone was in the place when we were there, but service was still slow. The nice outdoor furniture that was there until recently has now been replaced with uncomfortable picnic tables.
