I’m SO happy to say, This place is fantastic. Very helpful. I needed to get food for a loved one in St Louis. Uber eats app messed up my order, trying to send Pappy’s ribs, and then charged me anyway when I cancelled. Can’t wait to write a food review. Thanks to Serene, who answered the phone and went above and beyond. ️ View all feedback.
What gabie w doesn't like about Bogart's Smokehouse:
I stopped by on my way to the airport. Street parking was easy and the wait was almost nonexistent. By the time I got my water cup filled and lid on, the food was out. I got the brisket platter to go and hoofta, that was a lot of food. I got the beans and deviled egg potato salad as my 2 sides. Quick friendly service – someone kindly brought water for our dog before we even asked! they have ample outdoor, shaded seating, and a straightforward menu. if you want to try the burnt ends, get there early, because they quickly sell out. while the food was excellent – we got the ribs meat combo brisket) for 2 of us, which included 2 sides pickles and slaw) – the brisket could’ve been juuuuust a tad more tender, but not a big deal. loved that they had a selection of 4 different sauces on … – show
My husband has been eyeballing this place for years and we finally enjoyed lunch at Bogart's this afternoon. The man who brought us our food (also a cook) told us that we had to try the ribs without sauce first. And thank God we did. They were literally the best ribs we've EVER had. That's accounting for Kansas City BBQ and Texas cooking. The man told us that they smother the ribs in an apricot glaze and jeez, that's the right thing to do to them. A friend told me right before going that Bogart … – show
Great ribs!! But also the best pastrami I have ever had.
My first visit to a BBQ place in St Louis. Not impressed! I smoke better ribs at home. The ribs didn't taste smoked, I didn't even smell smoke in or around the building. They definitely weren't trimmed and extremely dry. Pretty expensive for something I didn't enjoy. $15? We have better BBQ in Florida.
