5 stars in every category. I 've been eating at O 'Connell 's since the Gaslight Sq. days right next to Your Father 's Mustache where I worked. Must reply to whoever said the takeout was unacceptable. A few years (pre covid) I tried to get takeout for my wife who was at Barnes Hosp. Takeout wasn 't available. So Iordered two of whatever she wanted and wrapped up the left overs . They were still good. View all feedback.
What Michelle Salois doesn't like about O'connell's Pub:
I was disappointed. So dark. Uncomfortable seats and benches. And my medium well burger was too well done. I could change how I order next time but they don’t even have tomatoes or pickle slices to put on the burger. The house salad was almost all pepperoni (or some sausage slices) and a little lettuce. Very good cheeseburger and fries but they have no tomatoes for the burgers.
Can't beat the atmosphere of this classic Irish pub. Friendly service, dependable food, good people. Everything you need.
I have no clue why anyone likes this place. Their food is subpar at best. Customer service is a joke. They won’t split checks.
Saint Louis casual dining at its historical finest.
