What Rich Lilly Hagerty likes about J&g Grill:
2nd visit: Returned a second time, after visiting Big Bend and ordered something totally different. The fried mushrooms and the green chile burritos hit the spot. The food came out piping hot and the burritos were spicy-hot. When in Marathon, this will be our go-to stop. The people are also super nice :)1st visit: For a convenience store restaurant, this place was very clean. The tostadas and tacos (ground beef) were delicious.

Honest family service and high quality food for the price point. The salsa for the burritos was very fresh. It slapped.

"The cashier could definitely be friendlier. But the delicious smoothie made up for the uptight personalities. The outside of the coffee bar has a very vintage Southwestern aesthetic."

"Had a motorcycle trip to the Big Bend region. We stopped here for breakfast at 7:30 am (Hours open 7:00 pm). We could see a group of guys sitting at a table with coffee, but the doors were locked. A tempo sign said they would open at 7:30, so we waited. Finally, at 7:45 a.m., one of the guys came to the door to say that they were closed until a help came. So we went one block to another place called V6 Coffee Shop. On our way home we decided to try Oasis Cafe again a few days later. We arrived at 7:30 and they were open. We (4 of us) have ordered all different articles. I ordered the El Grande breakfast plate. A very healthy part of Bacon, two eggs, two “big” sausages, two pancakes and hash brown. The reason for only four stars is because of the hash browns. It's not because her help didn't show up the other day. The Hash Browns were like the ones you get at McDonald, only those were dry. Sure, what isn't a deal breaker, but with everything that came out, the Hash Browns were a deal breaker to get five stars. The pancakes were great! Easy crispy around the edges and fluffy. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The prices were as expected and the place was very clean. I would stop and recommend Oasis Cafe for a hearty breakfast."
