"As the name says, little restaurant... But that's fine!! Already when entering there is an instant feel-good atmosphere, very nice reception, the service is the absolutely best one can expect from a service!! Very friendly and accommodating, always an eye at the guest. We were allowed to enjoy the Easter menu, without words..., absolutely high level. In the background there was light jazz, a very harmonious atmosphere at or for food. Lovely and stylishly decorated, plush extra, you can also take your four-legged friend. The food is simply top, the selection of wines top!! For the quality of food and drinks as well as for the wellness factor absolutely fair prices!! We definitely come back, despite another way!!"

"Superb little place that truly makes you believe they 've carved out a tiny chunk of Brittany and magically transported it to Marburg. The undisputed protagonist of the menu is the gallette, that crunchy staple of Breton cuisine made from the gray colored buckwheat flour that gives the restaurant its name and which the chef receives by the sackful, delivered directly from Brittany). There are around two dozen assorted fillings to choose from, as well as a galette of the month which was, on my most recent visit, a delicious mix of chicken breast, onions, crème fraîche and chanterelle mushrooms braised in jus d 'orange). The other star item is the amazingly fresh seafood: for 150€, you get a humongous platter of fruits de mer served only on Friday evenings, needs to be pre ordered by the preceding Tuesday at the latest) that includes a shovelful of phenomenal fresh Breton mussels, several slurpy oysters to die for, a sizeable and meaty lobster and a lot of tasty rock crab pincers, as well as delightfully tender prawns and shrimp. It 's supposedly designed for two people, but we were three diners and we were unable to finish the gigantic platter, though we took the leftovers around 20% of the seafood) home and made a great paella de marisco with them the next day. The key is to wash all this sumptuous foodstuff down with some authentic Breton cider, the Cidre Paul Croic brut 2019 being an excellent choice to pair with the seafood. As for desserts, you have the galette 's younger offshoot the renowned French crêpe made with the delectable and ubiquitous salted butter for which the stormy western French region is best known. Again, you can pick among some 20 fillings that range from the classics nougat, salted caramel, sugar and cinnamon) to all kinds of seasonal fruits, of which apple is always king. A good idea is to order the crêpe flambé with Lambic. The homemade crème brûlée is also outstanding and may be taken flambé, too. The service is very amiable and the setting ideal; you can sit either outside on a sunny terrace or indoors within the quaint and cozy Fachwerkhaus littered with framed photographs and Breton memorabilia. Sitting inside on the ground floor has the added bonus of a prime view of the small but charming open kitchen where the galettes and crêpes are fashioned on purpose made cast iron plates. Tl;dr: Blé Noir is one of the best restaurants in the whole region and will never disappoint. While not cheap, it 's definitely worth checking out as a special treat or to celebrate a distinct occasion. Reservations are a must due to its well deserved popularity. Debrit ervat! bon appétit in Breton)."

"After 5 times reminding the waitress to take our order it took 1,5h until the food was served. And we didn’t order complicated stuff (casserole). In the end even the wrong food was served. And the waitress didn’t even apologize...very sad."
