We visited this place with no expectation because choices are very limited in this area. It turned out that it was a big hit. It's a restaurant in a hotel. The terrace was very agreeable, looking on the hotel garden. Food was very refined so much so that nowhere else, in the Medoc vicinity, can you hope for eateries of this level. The wine list is very large and services are professional. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about L'Ile Vincent:
we liked to eat, although the service was not good at all, and there was a lot of sprinkle net on the balcony of the restaurant. they never brought us water and we were served by six different people. no really well-maintained, they only brought food to the table. the menu has a very very very limited choice. much too limited. the layers a three main course?. my wife doesn't eat meat, I don't like grass. then they ha... We had a nice lunch here. they received us late. the staff was very friendly and attentive. the food was delicious, fresh with perfect portions. warm gratitude to the chef!
We stayed for 2 nights. On day 1, the weather was wonderful for early May (27 degrees)Perfect to eat outside on the terrace. The meal was classy and beautifully presented and served. The wine choice was affordable but not reduced in quality. The filet de...boef could not be cooked this well in England. Desserts were stylish and light. This felt like proper French restaurant presentation. A meal for two with wine 100€.
Don't waste their valuable time and money! for the entry I ordered the spatula and got some served over boiled spatula lined with ruche. completely tasteless and so the part was tiny for 12€. then the Gambas risotto was 4 small frozen garnels with over...cooked zucchinis and the most tasteless risotto I have ever tried. the whole food was lacking in decent season! we had to ask for salt and pepper to eat it. this place is so overpriced for her eating and service! the service was terrible. there were 2 women serving, one of them with great employment, but very beginning and the larger ones that just did not make for the service industry. when we arrived and asked for a table on the terrace, she made the classic “pffff, it’s too complicated face” because it’s not a table. (it took her 1 min to add serviettes, forks, knives and a table cloth) when she served the starter, she did not even explain what it was. she saw as if she made us like one to serve us where it is her job! the service lasted over 2 hours and 4 more tables that arrived after us were served before. we had to ask for bread and water several times. short. will never come back and will not recommend this place to everyone visiting the Margaux area. definitiw 80€ that were not worth our time and our money. I really hope that the owners or the people responsible for this place will see my botship and try to really pay attention to how the place itself is beautiful. a shame.
A superb traditional hostelerie restaurant located in the Relais de Margaux hotel. The menue provides a fine selection of regional cuisine beautfully prepared from the finest ingredients and attractively presented. Eating on the terrace in the summer is a wonderful experience, with not quite the...excellent location of the Golf du Medoc terrace.. Wine selection is outstanding and served by a knowledgeable sommelier...his recommendations were great. We enjoyed the Sirene de Giscours and a Chateau Dauzac. Both fine Margauxs.
