"Had an hour to kill before a meeting and stumbled across this place on the drive into Kettering. It’s cash only, unusual these days but if it works for them. I’m just glad I had some cash. It’s clearly a popular place with the locals. The staff were friendly, service was good and the Full English Breakfast was a good size, freshly cooked and really hot. Well worth £8 (includes Tea and Toast)."

"This was the first time I had been to Ascough's and I will absolutely be going back. Many people had told me how good it is but it is amazing! We had the taster menu and we could not fault it. Felt like we had a Michelin star meal. The waitress and waiters explained each course every time. The staff are friendly and efficient. Very reasonably priced too. Can't wait to go back again."
