My husband I pulled in to the cafe on Saturday morning, it looked good from the road, the type of place to get cream teas, fresh sandwiches etc . We were hungry as we had driven from the midlands , we decided to sit outside as inside smelt of chip fat) , my husband asked for 2 tuna sandwich from the menu , sorry no tuna , he then ordered 1 cheese sandwich, 1 ham sandwich 2 teas he paid £8.60, food arrived 2 burger ba... "Having read fantastic reviews, I was hoping to treat my guests to a good experience. Oh dear. We walked through the door at 1pm on Sunday, thinking it would be buzzing. The place was empty, apart from a solitary man sitting in the window. It was dark, unwelcoming, and smelt of stale fat. The two young girls behind the counter gave no welcome, in fact looked extremely uncomfortable and didn't really know what to do with us. We made a polite attempt at looking at the menu, and beat a hasty retreat. We had a fantastic meal in a Saturday Market Deli, which was absolutely on top of the game."

"Back for the fourth time in 8 weeks, this place has a welcome buzz about it, the best Sunday roast around and the staff are exceptional. The quality of the roast, choice of 3 meats and cauliflower cheese is included along with extra gravy. Roasted parsnips carrots, greens of the day all super fresh and home cooked with a home made Yorkshire. We like that you don’t have to be a regular to feel welcome both in the bar and restaurant. Theo especially makes us feel welcome and keeps it all in control when they are packed out. Booking advised."

"The best pub food we have had in ages and great service too. A really good choice on the menu with lots of veggie option and a good portion size. Would go there again very soon"
