What Noel G doesn't like about Gal's Sushi:
Restaurant front can be clean to give a better impression. Inside is clean. Service is good. It is not my first time having Omakase, so freshness is a must. Unfortunately uni is a bit disappointing , creamy but fishy. And for dessert, I wish the green tea sauce is on the side, so I can choose whether the coconut and matcha is a match. View all feedback.
Busy but cozy authentic Japanese Korean restaurant; great atmosphere and quick service! Come here a lot for lunches to get their fresh sashimi in their lunch special and the quality does not disappoint. Definitely one of the best uptown sushi restaurants with a great price and clean interior. Definitely recommend coming here.
Average Sushi place, but since the price increased and the fish piece cut way thinner than a year ago. Properly won't go there again.
Went to Gal's as i heard decent things about them from friends. The atmosphere is nice and typical of a Japanese restaurant. With a selection of booths and a few open space tablesWe ordered bentos for our lunch and the potions were good, however it appeared that the glass noodles weren't that fresh as they were all stuck in a big clump. The server was attentive and our orders arrived in a timely fashion. Meal was reasonably priced, fresh (asides from the glass noodles) and good.
We went to Gal’s on Friday, July 28th, 2023. We ordered two platters and we were quickly disgusted when we noticed flies in our soy sauce. We checked inside the soy sauce bottle and it was full of flies. After telling our waitress about this issue, she simply told us oh so many flies this time of the year, it happens. Not the response we expected as flies are not okay in our food. After the people at the table beside us left, we also checked their soy sauce and the same issue, a bunch of flies in the soy sauce.
I've been a regular at Gal's Sushi and have always had a great experience. However, tonight was different. I arrived at 9:30 p.m., knowing they closed at 10 p.m. The greeting I received was unfriendly, with a clear message that I had to leave by 10 o'clock sharp. While I understand the staff may have been tired, customer service should be maintained until the restaurant is actually closed. Rushing customers leaves a negative impression. I still enjoyed my meal, but the experience made me reconsider future visits.
