"En route to Frankfurt, we planned a stop in this small town which housed quite the powerhouse restaurant. We had the 3 course menu each paired with wines from the area and the pairing for each dish was spot on. As it was off peak...season, we were the only ones in the restaurant at 1.30pm and barely in time for the last order but they accommodated us. The table setting is formal and our one man server cum sommelier Wolfgang was formal but quickly warmed up once we started conversing. We had the trout, foie gras, carpaccio, Bouillabaisse, starers and trout, lamb and pork for the mains and shared a chocolate lave dessert. All was outstanding, including the kitchen of asparagus creme brulee. We were so impressed with the franconian wine matching that we went to the wine shop across to bring some home as well. It was really the best meal from our ten day trip and would go out of the way just to visit this town for this outstanding restaurant."

"We came to lunch and sat outside at the table. It was very cool and relaxing. We ordered Thuringia Sausage and Goulash with Tagliatelle. The serving was big and the food was delicious. We also had a nice German beer."

"Bad service and attitude issue. We made reservation for dinner, when we arrived there, a blond Bob hair waitress told us to look for a table for ourselves. (They were not very busy on a Tuesday night at pandemic period). After found a table and...about to sit, another waitress almost run to us and shout that we can't sit there!!! Finally another young waitress lead us to a table. Food was eatable, noodles already cooked for long and getting dry and crunchy... You can tell the Beef and the sauce are simply warmed up and served. I would suggest to go there for a glass of wine only, but away, you can get similar wine with much nicer view at the restaurant or bar on the bridge!"
