A special treat ti friends hosting us for a rugby weekend, so we wanted something good and it was in every way. Beautiful dinning room with generous space and limited tables covers to ensure standards of hospitality and service matched the gastronomy and wines. We have eaten at Daniel’s in NY The Bahamas and French Laundry in CA. I say this so you know that we have experienced great French Restaurants. We had the 5 course dinner at Alcyone and only 1 course was edible. They would not tell us the menu in advance said it was a chef’s surprise. The one meat was pigeon and it was raw.
