I rarely write reviews and I'm going this to help as I really enjoyed dinner here tonight. Daniela the waitress was great. We had paste ravioli and it was very good. I just hope people who have a good experience here do write good reviews to improve overall reputation of this restaurant. View all feedback.
What Oscar S doesn't like about Restothiars:
As many others have mentioned, this restaurant is simply appalling... Terrible service by our waiter (even for French standards), disgusting raw and still-frozen-in-the-centre meat (despite the fact that medium cooked was ordered), fairly expensive even after accounting for the environment and touristy location, and the very best: what was probably the biggest rat I have ever witnessed in my whole life, passed jumpin... We called in without a reservation, and this restaurant was packed which is a good sign... ordinarily. We didn't wait too long for the menu but that was the fastest service of the night. The waitress couldn't open the bottle of wine for the couple next to us which was the source of our entertainment and we were just so glad to see her come so close to our table at long last, and eventually to take our order. Just before visiting us, she broke the cork in half and the french guy ended up uncorking the wine himself. She finally took our drinks and food order and that was the last we saw of her for what appeared an age, We are used to slow service in France but it is part of the culture, and we accept that in the main that and it isn't rushed as we seem to expect it to be in England. This service, however was very poor. The waitress on the other side seemed to be on Duracell batteries working flat out and really efficiently. Our girl had a pleasant enough manner, but I genuinely felt it was her first day waitressing. If so fair enough, if not, get shut, she was incompetent. The food eventually came along with a bottle of rose and again she struggled to uncork it but managed to take the cork out whole. The food to be fair was in fact very good. She asked if wanted coffee or dessert but we declined just asking for l'addition in fear we may still be there when they are serving petite déjeuner (breakfast). I would not return here as there are so many other restaurants to choose from.
Went there with my GF for dinner, i took a pizza with chorizo(?? , bad cooked, and tasteless. Mi GF took a fish appetizer, terrible, she felt bad all night long. Waiters seems annoyed. Never go there.

I’m really surprised at the negative reviews as my experience was fantastic! Busy and buzzing, which is a good sign. Service was lovely I was really well looked after and it really was service with a massive smile. Food was excellent (ravioli with pesto). Shame I don’t have a chance to go back this visit, as I loved it.

INCROYABLE!
