"Brunch on a Sunday. Arrived about 11:30am. Very busy. Several people told us that this is the best place for lunch. Given the amount of people there already that morning tends to lean towards this being correct.<br/ <br/ We were lucky enough to snag a table as two other people left.<br/ <br/ It 's noisy there and a bit 'clangy '. Personally I 'm not a fan of overly loud eateries but it was what it was; and not overly loud.<br/ <br/ We ordered the Farmer 's Breakfast but as the vegetarian option. We also ordered a green tea and a soy flat white.<br/ <br/ The soy flat white was nice. Not the best I 've had put pretty good.<br/ <br/ Being busy our meal took 30 mins to arrive but that was expected and not an issue.<br/ <br/ The breakfast was enough for us both to share at brunch. Mushroom, potato, tomato, polenta, avo, spinach, eggs, and bread. It was good. We destroyed it. Very tasty and filling.<br/ <br/ I 'd go back but when it was quieter."

"We had dinner here last night during the mid year Christmas celebrations. Sat outside on the deck so were part of the midwinter atmosphere. Staff were extremely busy and very friendly and helpful. We were there early so had to wait until 5 pm to order from the dinner menu chose fettuccini. Unfortunately the dish did not live up to standard. The fettuccini was very 'gluggy ', all stuck together. The taste was nice but I was unable to eat it all. I would try this restaurant again though."

"Went here with a group and a set menu of glazed ham, mash potato and chefs seasonal veges for the mains. The ham was really delicious and my favourite part. Would have preferred not to have the gravy on the ham and instead something like apple sauce or pineapple chutney, something with a bit of tartiness to complement the flavor of the ham. The veges and potato were fine, simple but tasty. The dessert was sticky date pudding with icecream and butterscotch sauce. The pudding was cool, like room temp, rather than warm which was disappointing. And I am thinking the dates were pureed as there were no obvious date pieces in the pudding/cake. Overall the meal was appropriate for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is very lovely. It may be an OCD minute between us but we did notice the lights in the room we were dining in were all different heights which was odd. The air con was a definite bonus on a hot Wairarapa day, though as the doors were open it didn't make a huge difference unfortunately. 4 stars cos I felt there were just a few small tweaks to bring the whole meal experience to its full potential."
