"Two weeks in a row our order was not correct. The first week we ordered online for pickup, when we arrived at first we were told the order was not received and it was probably at Spring Mills. Then all of a sudden the order was put on the pickup table and sat, the cashier had no customer service skills at all. This week I decided to try again and went inside to order, once again the order was wrong and I was standing right there. The man put lettuce on the sub, which I did not want or ask for so he just took the lettuce off. After telling them three times what toppings I wanted, they still got it wrong! This time the cashier did offer to make a different sandwich but I said no, I just want to get out of here.Parking: Too crowded"

"It was a busy night, so server was very busy and was not able to provide good service. He was very pleasant was trying very hard but there were just too many customers for him to provide good service. Food was very tasty but the restaurant was very loud especially given that we were seated in the upstairs loft area which also made the area very warm and somewhat uncomfortable. This was my second time to the restaurant, i will certainly visit again but it may not be my first choice."

"We were in town for a quick overnight and our entire group had breakfast here. Service was great and food was awesome. Everyone had something different and we all loved our food. None of us got any of the baked goods in the front counter but they looked incredible! We will surely be back next time we are in town."

"My family and I just returned from Father’s Day Brunch.I cannot help but express disappointment with our first experience at McFarland House. Even more that it was huge flop for my husband’s Father’s Day.We arrived at our 12:30 seating and were seated right away, and ordered our drinks. We went to the buffet and were left with sparse pickings. There were no crapes, no French toast, no fruit, no tenderloin. no ribs, no hash browns, and 3 maybe shrimp were left in the serving dish. We scrounged around for a first servings with salad, shredded chicken and burnt biscuits and gravy. While waiting around for about 5 minutes, crapes and french toast finally came.There was also no coffee- we couldn’t get that until after our second plate. When I did go back to get seconds for myself and kids, most of what was mentioned above were either still empty or again ran out. I waited 10 minutes with another family for french toast.The buffet was difficult to manage, there was no place to put the serving lids or to set our plates down to create our own crapes or biscuits and gravy. The food we did manage to get, during our first and second helping was over cooked and cold- which is a bad combination.Additionally, we were disappointed in how the menus played out. We imagined a focus on good meat for Father’s Day- as far as the boneless bbq ribs. I never saw them, only a BONE in the serving dish. We expected more out of the tenderloin than what was available. Both times I went to the buffet, there were just a few pieces of cold sliced tenderloin. I didn’t taste it, because it did not look to my liking. I sadly realized that the chicken and tenderloin were simply just to be toppers for a salad and not a main dish. It me thing that was good was the bacon, until I realized that my second piece was covered in cold bacon grease. When I went back. I realized that the bacon was just sitting in the grease as it cooled and was coating the bacon.Finally, looking at the menu, it said ‘crab leg platter’ and we found that they were $20 extra per person. I did not see the scrambled eggs, which could have been empty…?By the time we got to dessert all that was there were burnt cookies and one piece of cheese cake.We were given our check and charged for 3 coffees instead of the 2 we actually got.Given that you are only open for brunch and we had to reserve and pay ahead of time, I did not come in expecting such meager offerings and mediocre food. You should have had enough for the 12:30 seating, or what is even the point of having seatings?We are sorry that we spent my husband’s Father’s Day at McFarland House and can really only say that my coffee that I had to pay $3 extra for was delicious, despite that I didn’t get to drink the entire cup by the time we had given up and were ready to go home."
