I wanted to have this place! it is in a prime location in the inner city of mason city, iowa. in a picturesque small outdoor marble area right next to the door.

we ordered 2 burgers and beer. asked if we wanted to speck, we said that noburgers came with speck and was accused for that so had a side of ranch on both plate...

amazing! we are in the city for the final weekend and for our surprise it is also band of fixedly tenting and we stopped in the quarry for an evening meal.

"A couple of Chicagoans in Mason City. Though this was supposed to be the best place in town (according to TripAdvisor), our expectations were not real high and didn't improve when we saw only a few tables busy. But our dinner was so good we went back again the next night and came away even more impressed. We had a salmon-topped risotto, a filet (chateaubriand), a fried calamari appetizer, and a swordfish special (over orzo with a kale pesto). All were extremely flavorful, imaginatively presented, and PERFECTLY cooked. Perfectly cooked swordfish was about the last thing I expected to find on a slow night in northern Iowa, so we asked to meet the chef, a nice young guy named Nate Mock. He really knows what he is doing."
