"This is a restaurant that is trying to be Southern in Matamoros Mexico, the food is not a repeat not Cajun. But it is not bad my girlfriend had a garlic shrimp dish that was absolutely wonderful. I wanted a salad kind of like a shrimp Louie and what I ended up with was kind of like a shrimp and mayonnaise with some vegetables. It did not taste bad but I was disappointed. Please note please note. There was a review on line about a guy complaining that he had to ask for the bill......... YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO ASK FOR THE CHECK IN MEXICAN RESTAURANTS! THEY CONSIDER IT RUDE TO BRING YOU THE CHECK WITHOUT YOU ASKING. Our waiter was pleasant did speak some English but he was nice enough to let me practice my Spanish. It's worth a try but don't expect Cajun food"

"It's a small and cute antique place and I had heard so much about it but they took a very long time! I waited about 20+ minutes but that's probably because the man in front of me seemed to have a large order. (More than 5 burgers I think) Also, it was myfirst time here and I did not see a cashier or server to take my order so I sat for a couple minutes. When later this secondperson arrives and they take his order before mine. Even when the server was told by another lady, whom she was actuallychatting with, that I got there first! I probably would have gotten out of there quicker if I would have placed my orderfirst. The other server was outside talking on the phone the whole time. ???? Anyway, I got a double cheeseburger and a single.It was very inexpensive less than $5 for both. However, they were tiny! Meat was so thin and not enough flavor for me. Mydaughter was disappointed too. Also, they don't sell anything else except for chips and maybe drinks I think. Rating flavoronly- It was good but I've had better honestly. Please don't hate me! ???? But maybe I'll try it again soon and give them asecond chance, since it's such a popular place."

"Vintage feeling in this location was a nice change from modern feeling in the few remaining restaurants this once popular chain. I had rainbow trout with a stuffed salat and baked kartoffel with a 20 ninth blue moon zitrus beer baked. it was quiet and clean, our server was efficient and the layer manager checked to see if we were satisfied. the service was timely and polite and the meal was a good value. caprine 5/5"

"I had really high hopes or this place… the lady at the front was nice.. we ordered to-Go.. got there on time to pick it up.. check it in the car and they really skimp out on the meat for the tacos.. not enough cheese and the flautas for super greasy and very little meat. Paid $35 for a dozen flautas and two orders of tacos… a pencil this thicker than the meat they put in. Will not be back there.."
