Gasthof Fürst - Mattsee

Stayed here for 4 nights here with my partner and young child. We got the 120 bus from Salzburg, the closest bus stop is about 15 minutes away but even with a suitcase and pram we found the walk easy. If you have a car no problem at all. The walk into Mattsee is about 40 minutes but again the walk is pleasant enough. The room was of ample size and had plenty of storage room, was in classic Austrian/German guesthouse style with lots of wood. The bathroom was perhaps a bit dated in style but everything worked and we had no issues with the room. It did appear the the hotel was upgrading its rooms so I imagine by next summer things will be even nice. The proprietor Herr Furst was extremely friendly and spoke good English. The whole place had a genuine family feel that made us feel very welcome. The bar was well stocked and the beer well kept, we drank Trumer pils and this went down very well! We ate a lunch and dinner and the food was very tasty, we were sad that the restaurant was closed on Wednesday and Thursday as we would have loved to have eaten there again (really enjoyed the three dumpling dish). Breakfast was brought to the table and involved various cheeses and meats, eggs and fruit. The breakfast was plentiful and if required more was brought out. Was very happy with the breakfast. Would definitely stay at again.

Sólo llegar el lugar nos enamoró...Este hotel se encuentra en Mattsee, un pueblo muy tranquilo y bonito. En medio de la naturaleza, prados verdes, casas bonitas con su propio encanto.El Landgasthof Furst es tranquilo que transmite tranquilidad.Sólo llegar nos atendió un hombre, imaginamos el dueño, nos dio las llaves de la habitación. Nada de papeleos ni historias que se hacen normalmente. Amable, simpático, esforzándose al máximo para entendernos. Todo esto nos hizo sentir muy agusto.Unos desayunos ya preparados en mesa, surtido de embutidos y panes. Zumo, cafés y cada día había alguna cosa distinta. Huevo duro o yogur con cereales, etc...Cenemos dos noches. Puntualizar que aquí cenan muy temprano ( 18-19h), platos abundantes y buenos.Así que nos vamos con muy buen sabor de boca!Si volvemos por estas tierras, de seguro volveremos aquí!!

Ein toller Familienbetrieb! Speisen und Service sind dementsprechend top. Gemütlicher Gastgarten und auch fein zum Übernachten. Ein Geheimtipp....

Leckeres Essen, super Service, frische Zutaten, frischer Fisch aus dem Mattsee, einfach ein Gedicht....immer wieder gerne :-)

Speisen waren sehr gut. Zutaten aus der Region und sehr gut zubereitet. Fleisch zart, Gemüse frisch und knackig, Salat + Dressing super. Kindgerichte günstig und schmackhaft (kein Convenience Food wie anderswo oft). Preislich absolut in Ordnung. In diesem Landgasthaus wird sehr gute Qualität abgeliefert.
