6 KM. dopo il Brennero troviamo Gries, piccolo e carino paesino alle falde della valle di Obernberg. Il locale è praticamente al bivio tra la statale e l'inizio della valle.La famiglia che gestisce il ristorante non spiccica una parola di italiano ma sono davvero molto gentili ed alla fine ci si riesce a capire.Menù piuttosto ridotto e scritto ovviamente solo in tedesco.Meglio andare sul sicuro con arrosti di carne,... "It is a small restaurant, yet it is always full. Staff is very friendly, doesnt speak English that well. The menus are in English. You get big plates that are decently priced. I can really recommend the chocolate cake!"

"We 've been here three times with family and children. Also on our first night in Stubaital (Fulpmes) after a long ride from the Netherlands we felt very welcome. To the Grobenhof it 's a nice ride along the mountain. When you think 'this is going nowhere ' you reach a farm and around the corner a hotel and restaurant. Inside you 'll find the typical tyrolian wooden interior. As said we felt more than welcome. The landlady speaks german and english. The Speisekarte contains a wide range of local food like Spazle, Rosti, Schnitzel, Trout. Hearty food in, mind you, great portions. You won 't find any modern fancy pancy healt food but it 's super food in it 's own way! You can also enjoy several kinds of fondues. Very nice, highly reconmended. Cheap? No, but then again, nothing is in Austria."

"We had lunch in August 2020 in this hut after a pleasant walk. The hut is very cozy, it would be nice to come even in the middle of winter when out there is snow. We took a plate of canederli in broth, two of tris of canederli and a tris of the malga (ravioli and canederli). All good and abundant quantity for tris dishes."
