"Great food and lively local atmosphere. My daughter and I were deciding where to eat when a couple leaving Varly’s told us the place was great and recommended the halibut. So we took their advice and tried the clam chowder as well. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we entered. The interior is cozy place lined with write-ups and photos of local shipwrecks and colorful Whittier personalities. The staff encourages patrons to interact, making it a most pleasant and entertaining experience."
