"Last Thursday evening, my husband and I had a wonderful experience at this delightful, country restaurant. My husband said that the gambas pil pil starter was the tastiest he had had. My steak was cooked to perfection with peppercorn sauce on the side. What struck us was the happy atmosphere. Every member of staff had a lovely, welcoming smile and made sure that we were well-attended. Full marks for value for money!"

"Spa Day with girlfriends- absolutely amazing. Gorgeous place, all cosy and calm and lush. Feels private and not over busy. Thermal room is very relaxing and outside area is fab even in the winter cold. Staff were all fantastic, you feel very well looked after. My treatments were the best I have had in a very long time. My therapists manner and attention to detail was perfect and the products are divine. I felt so chilled out during and after. You are taken to the most chilled out room afterwards to relax and I can honestly say the whole day was possibly the best spa experience we’ve had in Scotland so far and we have been trying a good few out. Highly recommend."

"Have drove passed this for years and was always drawn to it. Decided to book for anniversary dinner advised when booked it was a special anniversary. On entering approached reception spoke to lady who gave the impression she would rather be anywhere else but there . Went into dining room gave name to young man behind bar who didn’t show us to our table but stated pointing to table in corner that’s yours ! Behind a group of 10 men . Sorry but 1st impressions really count during our time little to no interaction with staff except for the girl who served our mains. Waited long periods to get menu when 1st arrived and for dessert. Food itself was nice but overall experience let down by lack of welcome and poor service ."
