That's a sweet spot! Really good ice, friendly staff and a beautiful forested environment in the back with some tables and parasols to sit and relax. Large ice cream with generous portions. A little expensive, but it's worth it. Many seats and space for you to enjoy your dessert. Recommended.
53 years ago, only old ladies and I ate ginger ice cream. I just bought a cup of ginger and it was as good as ever! It's not 20 cents any more, though!!! Ditto on the grapenut.

I love this place! Portions are decent, ice is great and the ppl work there seem really happy. You have a beautiful picnic area back to enjoy a bowl and many parking spaces. I was there at least once a year for most of my 50 years and I intend to make a pilgrimage for 50 more! Bring a cash tip as their stupid Apple tablets do not allow you to tap electronically
We went to one at Marion, MA and we loved it. We found him in Maynard and checked him. Unbelievable. The best value for me was the big banana cleavage. Three big pots with everything. Split two spoons! I took a picture of the banana gap so you could see how great it was!
