Home made sour dough bread is to die for. Sand dollar pastries oh glazed criosants had to by 8. Hub of the town locals having lunch ther. If I had been there erlier would have bought more but a fresh bakery does sell out of great stuff. Went back on my 3rd day there and bought more. read more.

The location is very convenient and the interior is so-so. Mushroom soup was good and sandwiches so-so; not much better than what I can do myself. So, I was surprised with how pricey items were. Perhaps it cost a lot to transport to the island. I thought with lower rent that food will be less pricey. A slice of pizza goes for $5. That's more than double what I have seen anywhere. "Always so friendly and welcoming. Food is great, and good sized portions. Usually have the chicken quesadilla platter relish! Also love their borscht, when they have it, and their maple walnut cheesecake (and I'm not usually a dessert person). Just feels homey and comfortable. Lisa, Jen, and the others so cheery!"

What hospitality, what smiles, and of course the most AMAZING Montreal smoked meat I ever tasted and being from Ottawa , Ontario we have tried some incredible Montreal smoked meat in our day, this is by far the best I have ever experienced . "We had a late lunch with friends before boarding the ferry on a Saturday afternoon, sat outside on the very comfortable terrace and ordered from a fairly comprehensive pub menu which had a good selection of brews. Service was fairly prompt with one exception -- an order was initially left off because of overcrowding, which really didn't describe the number of people inside or out. No surprises with the food -- from pretty standard fish and chips to excellent salmonburgers and yamfries. A lovely old building overlooking Canoe Cove and a pleasant place to wait for the ferries that are a five minute drive away."

"It's definitely my first choice for going to breakfast when we can make it. It gets super busy, especially on weekends. I love the eggs benedict plate and anything from the waffle/pancake section of the menu. Really enjoyable place, and the servers are efficient and friendly. The only downside is that it is fairly spendy for what it is. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
