Hotel really nice , staff excellent and very helpful but arkle restaraunt is far from fine dinning. Had the fish and chips asked could I have mash instead of chips and was charged euro then asked was there veg with that and was given some burnt broccoli and parsnip euro so altogether euro for average peice of fish.it be like going for a chicken curry and rice and been asked to pay seperatly for rice and veg and chick... We had a wonderful meal at Arkle Restaurant last night in the Glen Royal Hotel. All staff wore masks, our covid vaccine certs were checked on the way in. We had a coeliac, a vegan and a vegetarian in our group all were catered for without any problem.
