Decided to check this place out while camping nearby at Swallow Falls. It took us a while to get seated and the hostess told us someone would be with us shortly for water and the beer menu. Unfortunately, no one came to our table and I noticed people who were sat after us were being attended to. We have been drinking this beer since we found the brewery in Thomas, way before the restaurant opened in Deep Creek. 4 Beers done very nicely and consistency is on point. Wood fired flatbreads good stuff. Laid back, as in not stuffy! Chill relax and have a cold beer! Cheers!
Great service and good food. The flatbread pizza was amazing. Great flavor. The nachos would have been better with less salsa and a little more chili and cheese. Overall a good experience. Came back a second night for more pizza!
In my opinion this is one of the top places to eat at the lake. The service is always great!! The food has never been disappointing!! When we go out for pizza this is one of our first picks. Same thing when we travel to Morgantown, WV. With all of the options in Morgantown we still choose Mountain State!! Our favorites are the Margherita Pizza and the Big Fat Greek!
First time here and it was top notch! Perfect weather today to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the deck. They have tables with umbrellas or tables under a roof outside to choose from. The inside is rustic and beautifully decorated. Yes,this place has many selections of beer and their own cocktails to choose from,but the food is phenomenal. I had the Apple butter BBQ pulled chicken with a side of their homemade potato salad. Outstanding! The service was fantastic also....waiter very knowledgeable and offered great menu suggestions. Will definitely go back again!
Been here a few times now and it has not disappointed once. Always a wonderful experience. We do a lot of breweries and this is one of the best ones we go to. Their beer is amazing and the food is top notch. We did Christmas Eve reservations for the igloos and what an experience that was. The waiter was polite and knew his stuff. The pictures doesn't do it justice. If you're looking for a cool winter dinning experience, make reservations here. We definitely will be doing it again and hopefully it will be snowing when we do. MSBC, Thank you for making out Christmas Eve one of the best we ever had!!!
