The best cakes we had for a long time. Chunky pepper and chili mint, both excellent plus a free donut. It'll be back.

"An exceptionally beautiful culinary experience from beginning to end. Looks at the chefs for taste, quality ingredients and especially the presentation. We also opted for wine pairing with our tasting. The wine pairings went well at our meals, but we would have liked to learn more about the history and tasting of notes. Unfortunately, due to restrictions in the night before our visit and not to cancel guest bookings, all seats with a reduced menu were reduced to 2 hours. As a result, at the end of the meal we were rather sharp than full, but understandably Maxwell did what they could give the circumstances. We are always ready to return to full experience."

"Our table of four had the degustation menu and whilst the staff where lovely we found the food very underwhelming. After reading all the reviews we were excited to dine here, sadly we didn’t like a number of dishes finding the flavours not to work well together. Simple things could have enhanced the experience, like getting butter at a spreadable temperature and the sorbet was so hard you had to wait 5 minutes for it to soften, it also didn’t match well with the wine they poured over it and left a sour after taste. No one on the table liked the cauliflower soup nor the duck which is suppose to be the main course, we all left hungry. The menu reads well but the flavour pairings where odd and rather dated.The lobster bisque was nice but not worth the additional $15 upgrade. The only dish we really did enjoy was the passionfruit soufflé. We also sent back a gin martini that was incorrectly made which we would expect a restaurant of this calibre to be able to make a traditional cocktail.Sadly very disappointing with much better dining experiences in the region of the same pricing."
