This place was one of the highlights of my trip to Medellin. The food was amazing and the drinks better. Highly recommended if you want to have great time with your friends! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Rue Bistro Bar:
I was looking forward to this restaurant as I heard good things through friends and family. Great ambience, good food. Can't complain there. Service though was horrendous. Shouldn't take me to go the bar to grab a drink and wait 30 minutes for any type of assistance. The manager at the end acknowledged the errors in the server. He was real nice and apologetic so I wasn't so heated at the end . Again food is real good... View all feedback.
It’s one of the best restaurants in Medellin, delicious food, the restaurant has great service, all meals are delicious, 100% recommended , I went with my friends and my family and we had a great time
The food, the service, the location, the atmosphere, the parking, the price....everything was excellent. I ordered the Solomito with 3 cheese sauce , it was done to perfection.
The food an the atmosphere is very nice but the service is really bad. Also, the only had 4 of the 16 red wines on the menu. The waitress was very rude! I would not recommend a friend to go there.
My second visit, always try to give a place a second chance....will be my last. Had the ribs on my first trip, sauce way too sweet, sickeningly sweet. Second trip, caesar salad, had unripe tomatoes, no sauce whatsoever, terrible, chicken was ok, but made the...lettuce hot and soggy. Will not be back.
Going to La Rue was a nice experience, the menu has good choices, not overwhelming amount of pages like other restaurants in Colombia which means they prepare their own sauces and dishes, it's not just a mix of 5 jars on top of a meat....We tried a tender loin with Cabernet reduction, was great, well prepared; tenderloin with cheese and spinach raviolis, great also. The appetizer was Camembert on croute , a nice presentation but a little too sweet to my taste, with blueberries. For wine they offered wine of the house : Moras, try anything else, they were able to offer another one and dessert a créme brulée that was almost perfect. Service is ok, not super but friendly, not pushy and it was fast. Location is nice open to the street but has high ceilings, nice decor, you don't feel cramped and smelling food, it was nice, nice chairs, big tables. Price is above average but it's worth your money and the meats are done to perfection, you can tell extra quality, flavors are top notch.
