We really enjoyed the setting and the domes look great. The roast beef was good but our request for it to be 'as rare as possible ' was ignored. Generally a lovely place, building and outside terrace. However, on the down side, this quality was badly let down by cheap, peeling, warped melamine tables inside, especially in the sun when the white surfaces were blinding. What Lily Thomas doesn't like about Buckland Lake Cafe Tea Room:
Booked to have dinner here 6 weeks ago and 4 days before we are due to go they have cancelled our booking due to a ‘ system error’. It appears they have a private event on, which obviously is a better booking and we have been cancelled purely for commercial reasons, which is disgraceful and will make us think twice about booking again. read more.

"This is a friendly cafe. Clean, and a good atmosphere to it. The waiters are lovely and there is a good selection of food and drinks. I went here today with my mum for a coffee and chocolate. "Quirky venue this place is just as he says on the line. an old fashion barge converted for on board and on river banks. the menu is not long because the more galereed would not allow it, but the selection meets most needs of people. owner and youthful. the owner is very passionate about her caffe.
