As a first time visitor we found this to be a great friendly restaurant/cafe with a bar. Extremely helpful/accommodating staff. The service was good and the food is reasonably priced as well ass being tasty and well presented. The seating was comfortable and the decor and 'sayings ' on the wall are pleasing to the eye View all feedback.
What Taggert1 doesn't like about Cafe Jaer:
I stopped by for a drink while in town. I had two cups of tea, but I would have preferred a cappuccino if they offered soy milk. The staff was friendly and the teas were inexpensive. View all feedback.
Great place for breakfast and lunch, different owners now from what’s on here , there piri chicken and rice , chips and salad is the one
Was greeted straight a way. Had the salmon teraki and my son had the bolognaise which was just amazing. Would defo recommend only thing that was missing was hand sanitizer upon entering.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. I have visited a few times in the last couple of months and I highly recommend it. The peri peri chicken and pork loin are especially delicious. The staff is very friendly and I will definitely return.

A no frills licensed cafe in the pedestrian area of Gillingham High Street. Very pleasant to sit outside with a coffee or beer and watch the world go by. From what I could see from other tables the food is of generous proportions.. Although I was not hungry I was tempted. The coffe was delicious and the prices very reasonable.
