What E7032HEpaulr doesn't like about The Five Bells:
Sadly not improved much since my last visit.Atmosphere not welcoming, some staff friendly enough, Land Lord not very welcoming and doesn’t set a good example to the staff. Absolutely filthy apron on and tatty old plimsolls on his feet covered in mud, they clearly have been worn to death for years on his feet. We were going to grab some lunch but changed our minds after finding out the Landlord does the cooking. The m... View all feedback. What Polikarps Ābola likes about The Five Bells:
pub could do with a small dc, but absolutely beautiful Sunday roast at the cheapest price I have ever seen. everyone had another choice of roast meat (bark, lamb, pork) and all said they melt in mouth. large selection of fresh spring vegetables, crunchy bratkartoffels with fluffy centers and fantastic engraving. also had dessert crumble and custard. what a certain second visit to the horizon. read moreThe Five Bells has recently undergone positive changes under new ownership, but some customers miss the previous owner's breakfast takeaway service. Despite this, the restaurant has improved overall. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, and the Sunday lunch options are top-notch. The roast lamb takeaway dinner received high praise for its quality and generous portions. While past experiences may have been lacking in customer service, recent visits have shown improvement in this area. The pub now offers a good selection of food at reasonable prices, with helpful staff accommodating dietary needs. Overall, the local community appreciates the friendly and welcoming environment cultivated by the current landlord, making The Five Bells a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.
