What RealAleVoyager doesn't like about The Flippin' Frog:
Beware if thinking of travelling from afar. First attempted visit since Covid started. Alas the venue has been closed since summer 2020 when taken over by new people. It currently operates (and is outside signed) as The Dead Pigeon Collection Point being associated with the Dead Pigeon pub further down the High Street. Let 's hope this place re-opens at some time in the future as a walk-in pub. View all feedback. What Aiden Carter likes about The Flippin' Frog:
this place is unique. I could tell them how good the beer are, I could recommend some more, but there is so much more to this place, it's about the inviting feeling when they go through the door. it is the friendly atmosphere, the feeling of communion and camaradery. try to eat it, they won't find it better locally, they will be hooked, they will be back and forth. the frog is unique, experience it and you will know... read moreThe Frog and Pigeon, a unique micro-pub, offers a cozy and friendly atmosphere with delicious food and a variety of beers. However, potential visitors should be aware of limited opening days and evolving menus. The small space, while charming, may pose seating challenges. Patrons rave about the welcoming vibe, great beer selection, and live music. Unfortunately, recent reviews suggest that the venue may have closed or is in the process of being sold. Overall, The Frog and Pigeon appears to provide a warm and inviting experience, attracting regulars and visitors alike.
