The ambience was perfect, and the service provided by our servers Chris Roxanne was top-notch. Whoever was bartending that night brought their A-game, because the Espresso Martini, Amaretto Sours, and the Pain Killers were spectacular!! We had the Conch Fritters, and they were delicious and chock-full of conch. The Barbecue Wings were big, juicy and the barbecue sauce was perfectly tangy and sweet. We had the burgers... What User doesn't like about The Landing Rooftop:
beautiful. server was stiff and unpleasant. from most red wines the bottle on a Saturday night right after opening is bad management. left without order. will soon close or be under new adult management. that is a failed gimmick. they find everything else they can. View all feedback.
View, Awesome!...Food, Delicious!....Service, Mehh, not so great. Extremely long time period between drinks, starters and main meal. Ordered iced tea three times and never got it...20 minutes for drinks and over an hour between ordering lunch and eating.
This restaurant, and I eat out regularly, is without a doubt, one of the worst managed restos, I’ve ever experienced. I will always give a resto a few chances. The view is unparalleled. Scrumptious. But no one has it together there. July 4th made a rez a couple of weeks prior. Only to get a message last minute, it’s a closed party evening. Why did someone not call me? Offer to sell me VIP tix I would have paid extra not to have to deal with the crowd and to have the option to purchase better food than their July 4th lame offerings food AND bar. To go from drinking Mccallen to a subpar call scotch is so meh. Now to New Year’s Eve. I made a rez. Figured someone would contact me if there was a party offered if no dining would be available. Instead, an employee POSITIVELY, confirmed my Rez here w/i 24 hours 4 once. No special instructions. But I was so happy 2 B confirmed. Then I get a separate msg via text (I believe), days past the confirmation no dining and a party with tix sold at $175/$195. No offer to help set me up personally. No options just another person in a huge crowd. So I sent a message via OpenTable asking which confirmation I should believe. I received a message back that indeed there was no dinner being served. Don’t restos have calendars to block out special events and holidays? My experience here at OT has always been stellar. Other restos have their rez’s blocked, so a customer doesn’t make a rez and subsequently, make plans expecting to enjoy an evening planned ahead. This rez was 2 B my fourth visit and rather than give this beautiful venue with lackluster coordinators running the gig, I will tap out and give up trying to give this place another chance, after my previous and now last attempt to enjoy such a beautiful rooftop resto, failed disastrously, yet again. This review BTW, is my first negative review in all the years I’ve been here at OT. But I figure I’m permitted after 4 terrible experiences w/ The Rooftop Landing. #Bummer

The personal was extraordinary, they were very courteous and attentive.

We had the burgers, and they were also delicious! Overall, we had a great evening at The Landing, and will definitely be going back in the near future!
