What User doesn't like about My Masala:
I decided to give this restaurant a try based on the positive reviews about their amazing curry flavors. I ordered the mild lamb korma, medium butter chicken, plain naan, papadums, and the cucumber and mint sauce. Unfortunately, the flavors were lacking and the cucumber and mint sauce, as well as the papadums, were disappointing. I personally prefer the spicier options at Spicy Affair in South Melbourne. The best food we had in Melbourne. A must for everyone. Lots of food, great price and caters for all types of pallets.
Per many Indian restaurants, decor and charm are not a forte. We were a bit suspicious, but the food was delicious. Chicken was tender and moist, cauliflower/potatoes perfectly cooked. BYOB or not - Kingfisher beer, wine. Great choice if in South Melbourne.
Visited after reading good reviews online. Don't be mistaken by the appearance from the road - it is a restaurant as well as takeaway. Limited alcohol stock and only just got licence. Excellent food choice and our meal was extremely tasty - a very reasonable price
This little restaurant serves the most delicious Indian food. Everything on the menu is truly amazing.. The service is fantastic and the chef is the nicest guy serving up fresh food made with love. I would highly recommend.
This little South Melbourne Indian restaurant is a hidden gem! If you're looking for flash premises and artfully presented but overpriced food this will not be the place for you but if you want great food at amazingly reasonable prices then this is definitely it. The premises is very small and they do a steady trade in take away food but their staff are very helpful and there's no techno music blaring in the background. Wine list is very limited (basic red or white) and they only have Kingfisher beer but you are welcome to bring your own wine.If you like Indian food give this place a try - you will not regret it.
