My local place to go for authentic Vietnamese food. The place is usually pretty quite, I'm surprised they're not busy every night they have the potential to be much busier. Lucky for me, I found a local gem! The prices are more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants but I'm not complaining! $12.90 for a bowl of goodness. Their Pho is a must try! Their other dishes are all really tasty too. Customer service isn't... View all feedback.
Pretty reasonable Pho to be had here and their other meals look good too. Definately the best in Port Melbourne, though better Pho can be found in Richmond/Footscray. They're also pretty consistent and friendly. I'm happy to eat here when I can't be bothered travelling for Pho.
The portion size was large, but it was not the most affordable option at $18 per dish. There was no salad available on the menu, so I ordered the sizzling chicken lemongrass. When it arrived, it was presented on a white plate instead of the expected sizzling iron black plate. The food was average, but it was overly greasy and seemed to be quickly deep fried. The cashier seemed to mumble the price, and her demeanor was always stoic. It would be helpful if she spoke a bit louder and with more enthusiasm.

Not the best Vietnamese food I've had but definitely the best in Port Melbourne!
Ordered take away BBQ chicken rice paper rolls. Staff were pleasant enough, seemed very busy and there were tables with dirty dishes. <br/ <br/ Rice paper rolls were nice and better than I expected.
I have avoided Pho St due mainly to negative feedback and it always seemed pretty empty. But with Glenda's closed for Sunday lunch we gave it a go. And it was pretty good and sadly underrated. Don't let the sticky floor put you off, the food is pretty good.
