Shophouse Kitchen - Melbourne

I came here with my family and we all agreed it’s is the best Asian food we have had in a while it looked great the outside look great and the interior is beautiful the food taste good and the drinks are explicit

My family and I had a wonderful dinner last week at SHOPHOUSE KITCHEN Restaurant in Melbourne CBD QV Square. We ordered Chinese style fried rice, roast duck, vegetables, and dumpling soup. The atmosphere was cozy but bustling, perfect for both individuals and families.

Average food. Then can’t pay with card under $20. Traipsing around to an ATM FOR $12 makes me late to my meeting. Wouldn’t go again on principle

I went for dinner with my niece. The place looks nice from outside but has awful food. Also hygiene is terrible. The chopsticks are kept in filthy pots on the tables and we showed to the waiter how dirty it was. He agreed and changed to a fresh batch which we hope was clean. The dim sum arrived and it was disgusting tasted like raw chicken and raw prawn. We pointed out how bad it was to the waitress and she just shrugged. We refused to stay and when we asked for some kind of reimbursement as it was clear that we could not eat anything, the waitress said she could not do anything because the manager was not there!!! Absolutely appalling and rude and no sense of customer service!! We walked out right away after paying and feeling miserable. DO NOT GO HERE! Not surprised that there was food poisoning here from other reviewers. We should not have wasted our money and listened to the reviews.

We came to Shophouse Kitchen as a big group, the menu options are very generous and well prices. We found the service and speed of food very good. The dishes however were nice but not packed with a heap of flavour.
