The Windmill cafe is a very pleasant refreshment spot on the outskirts of Wymondham, set as it is, in some captivating countryside. Be it in the tearoom, cafè beside, or weather permitting, outside at a table in the adjacent grassed area beside the Windmill. Dog friendly too, thankfully. From previous visits, I have found the coffee and accompanying “toothsome treats” invariably first class. This time, my sister and... View all feedback.
What Ghosts of Brita a doesn't like about The Windmill:
Visited here a few years back and enjoyed the farmhouse breakfast however after my recent visit I won't bother again, the sausage were very poor quality and reminded me of chip shop sausages and sadly the whole breakfast was a also a bit of a disappointment. The quality here used to be good but sadly not any more. Sorry guys you need to serve better quality food for me to return. View all feedback.
We stop here annually on a trip to Peterborough and have for many years. Today was good but something not quite the same. Felt like it may be under new management. One girl was fine and on the ball the other was obviously learning and wasn't sure about how much English she understood as responses seemed to be either missing altogether or elicitin blank stares. However the food and cakes were lovely and there was absolutely nothing to complain about.

From previous visits, I have found the coffee and accompanying “toothsome treats” invariably first class. This time, my sister and I made our orders in the tearoom, but were served in the Cafè. My breaded chicken breast with dressed side salad was tasty and well presented. Sister enjoyed a ham omelette with a side salad. Our coffees too, were as good as ever. Recommended.
Always a nice stop for coffee or bit of cake. christmas bunt was lovely. good atmosphere, and friendly service. usually visit on the bike or bring the family along occasionally.
Absolutely amazing turkey and cranberry sandwich. Great service from the lovely girls in the tearoom as well. Well worth a visit and wonder around.
