it's about 3 weeks since I ate at Erling and I still think about the crabcakes every day. I'm almost crazy about it because I'm ruined for all the others. our group tried several dishes and we loved everything. very welcoming atmosphere. attentives waiting staff and amazing cook. can not wait to go back and try some of the dishes from the bar menu. I love dining at Erling Jenson, that said last night was not the best experience. No complaints about the food , it?s always superb. How ever the service could have been better. Our table had to ask three different people for additional bread, we had three bottles of wine and most of the time we had to pour the wine our selves. Always 5 star food, atmosphere and service. By far my favorite place to dine in Memphis. Escargot and a lobster salad. Wonderful dinner.
Probably the best meal I've had in the Memphis area with some very unique food options. Perfect place for a date night with unique offerings that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else! Notably I'm probably going to be talking about the Buffalo Tenderloin w/ lobster Béarnaise for quite some time! I would undoubtedly be back for a special occasion in the future!!!
Very good wait team service. Hostess made a friendly welcoming visit table side. Presentation of food spot on for this rated restaurant. Unique qualities could be fine tuned for a full 5 star rating.
A bit pricey but well worth it! I had the Angus filet and it was excellent. I also ordered the strawberry souffle, which I did not enjoy
I was unfortunately underwhelmed by the food here. With all the great reviews and chef resume, I had high expectations, in line with a high end restaurant. However, for my taste, the food was bland and the flavor basic. I probably would have given the food 3 stars, but I came up one because of the very friendly, spot on service. Our server was great. The menu is creative, and for those who prefer milder flavors, this might still be a good place.
