yes this is a good place to stop for a drink and view the quaint garden centre. The only draw back is the cups for drinks are small so by having a cappuccino you get a cup full of froth. Really need to get proper size cups as you pay normal prices for half a cup. read more.

"We were trying to get into the cafe opposite as it had tables in the sun, and it wasn’t immediately obvious where the entrance to the Almshouse is (10 yards down street). The outside seating doesn’t look as appealing as it’s neighbor but once inside it’s a different story. A really nice menu with an excellent selection of cakes and sandwiches and great coffee, served by friendly staff. The Almshouse itself is really pretty inside, with a bookshop, and spiral staircase taking you to more seating. Next time we’re in Axbridge we’ll be heading straight there!"
