Castle Fragsburg is a 5+ star hotel with commanding views of Merano and the mountains. It is a bit of a challenge to find, but worth the effort. We enjoyed both the food and the fabulous views here. We were able to find vegetarian and fish choices for lunch that were wonderful, and the little after meal sweets are not to be missed. They are served on a dish that looks like the hotel. We went based on recommendations to Castel Fragsburg for a Saturday Eve dinner . The view and the staff in general were good but our overall experience was disappointing. The menu offered only a basic selection (two menu choices) and we missed the charme of the Maitre the entire evening . His attitude made us feel uncomfortable.
