"Old school simple fast food done right. Char grilled burgers, hotdogs and crunchy fries. No frills, not gourmet or even close to being innovative, but it's simple and tasty. Definitely worth a stop for lunch whenever you are in or pass through Merrill. It's kind-of-like Kopps in the Milwaukee area but much smaller and the food is prepared with more care (the don't just throw the burger parts at the basket or wrapper). They are only offering drive up service right now due to COVID, but the service was quick right as the lunch rush began. I've previously dined inside and that service was quicker. It is very small inside with limited seating anyway. You can smell the burgers and fries from a few blocks away and will know you are getting close when you see the blue smoke billowing out the top of the building during lunch or dinner rushes."

"Salad bar was pretty empty, so not worth the money there, usually its so good. Wasn't busy inside but had a few togos. Felt like we were intruding on the staff today. We went for my dad's birthday. Usually it's a nice place to go, but tonight really felt different. Fries were cold when we got them.. just not very good tonight. Hope all is well, and hoping next time it'll be better. Thank you. "Great Friday fish fry which offers a soup and salad bar. I personally think the bartenders make the best Old Fashions this side of the Mississippi. Located off of exit 197 from Hwy 51, this place is great for family gatherings."
