What Araceli Crist doesn't like about Chef Ron's Gumbo Stop:
Seated at 6:22pm and two other tables recieved their food first though we ordered before they were ever seated. We ordered only three dishes, spaghetti, shrimp creole, and a catfish platter. At 7:35 pm we still didn't have our dinner, so we started to walk out. The waitress hurried to bring us our food, but had a catfish poor boy sandwich in her hand. I should have known since she had put a lemon slice in my Coke. Th... View all feedback.
Amazing eating, big, friendly service. we loved the mumbo gumbo so much, we ordered several (okay, more than several) container to bring back to nebraska home and share with friends and family. chef ron is amazing, they can say he loves what he does, it comes through in his eating. the newly expanded room is colorful and beautiful. view the covered terrace with paintings of a local artist.
Every bowl of gum is missing from now on. just great. crab cake crispy. brotpudding exceptional. good rubber bears otherwise becomes moderate. ron is worth the ride.
We had difficulty finding a place to lunch because we are not out of the opposite and we hoped to find a "hole in the wall" restaurant. we decided to give this place a shot, and it was well oriented because we left completely and satisfied. great and friendly service! we were often checked and we were asked to feel welcome. the food was so beautiful and delicious presented! I had to take photos before I'd eat. I love artfully processed eating. I recommend the sitting area in the open. it was super comfortable and it allowed for a little more private sphere than its average italian area (my sohn is on the spectrum so that this was a goddessed.) my sister and I ordered the seafood gumbo with the shrimp armboy. my children had the children's menu (the options are only a few, but the teller were loaded) we had the pecan pee and the brotpudding for dessert (my mother favorite part of the meal.) it was a very successful meal and I would certainly recommend.
Wife and I visited from the city and on recommendation went here on Friday at 12:15 o'clock to lunch and had a pleasant lunch with good food. we ordered the classic gumbo and the Mega-Gumbo together with the fried Boudin balls. Boudin balls are addicted well and the rubber balls were excellent and hearty. other tables ordered the Queensadilla appetizer sounds like they got a thing. the service was in order, although they seemed a bit clustered, when only 3 people worked the floor and the bar and the place was full with a short waiting line. melva served us and everything was good. wall decor is cool with dollar bills covered with black brand art on all walls was fun. def recommends and will come back.
The food here is amazing and authentic. Shawn has waited on us the last couple times and his service is exceptional!Chicken Gumbo Crab Cakes Crawfish Etouffee Chicken Alfredo Shrimp
