"This place popped up when I was looking for chocolate shops around the Playa Del Carmen area, and I decided to check it out when I visited Cozumel. The first time I went I bought about 6 truffles. I tried the non-dairy cinnamon bun first and was amazed at how delicious it was! I've always been a huge fan of chocolates, and I have to say that this is some of the best chocolate I've ever had. Each truffle I had was absolutely delicious, and the flavors were unlike anything else I've tried. They were so good that the next day I took the ferry to Cozumel just to buy a box of 16 truffles. If you are ever in this area, you have to try the chocolates. You will not regret it!"

"I had a Frozen Watermelon Margarita and it was refreshing and yummy. I love cheese and I had a cheese chicharron which was amazing. Also I had the tacos with lettuce shell which I found healthier and delicious. We got Mariachis too. Some people don't like them, I don't get to listen to them in United States, and I am from Colombia. We are use to listen to Mariachis and I found it entertaining. In general the food was very good, I recommend it if you want to enjoy some tacos, stay in the area and not go too far away from the cruise zone."

"Our waiter was informed on the menu about gluten-free items and understood the risks of cross-contamination after a short conversation. I had the fillet mignon with vegetables and then a fruit and whipped cream dessert. It's a beautiful place and I'm glad to have a celiac safe option."

"Cozumel is one of our favorite islands and La Monina is a great place to eat and just hang out. We go there multiple times per trip when enjoying the island life! Recently, my husband went fishing while there. Willie, Enrique, and multiple others set up a beautiful sunset dinner for 6 of us and cooked the Mahi that my husband caught. To say the least, it was AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! Willie, thank you for such attention to detail and making it so fun too! Enrique, your chef skills are unmatched! DELISH! See you soon again! Highly recommend LaMonina! Tip: Ask for a serving of chiltomate. Watch out for that habanero though! Ask for it on the side if spicy isn't your thing."
