What A doesn't like about Buena Vista Bistro:
This place is situated near the Design District but it fell short of my expectations. I ordered a Greek salad was told it was pre made so I couldn’t make any changes. The lettuce was old. Tomatoes were a bit soggy. My fiancé ordered a Saucisson Sec Sandwich. He said it was good but it was two small pieces nothing else. No pickle. No chips. Nothing. The closest thing I've had to pastries in France. This place has delicious french pastries! My absolute favorite is the Almond Croissant. All their pastries are exactly as they should be. You can tell they put a lot of love into their products. I've had the strawberry tart, regular croissant, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, Royal chocolat, Napoleon, cappuccino and the quiche Not one single negative things from any of these items. This places also sells homemade bread! Service was excellent….thanks!!! I will comeback again!
This place is amazing. Incredible authentic French food with great prices. I recommend the French onion soup and the escargot. Their butter croissant is incredible. As you can tell I am a super fan LOL
French bakery with a great variety of savory items, bakery items, and desserts! They had a few different flavored quiches, in addition to sandwiches (such as the croque monsieur and croque madame , salads, and soup of the day. We tried two different flavored quiches and boy were they tasty- they were both fluffy, flavorful, and not too much pastry flakes to overwhelm the egg. The spinach quiche was the hit at our table. The bacon and mushroom quiche, while it tasted like bacon, only had a few bacon pieces actually in the quiche so that was a bit of a let down. I am giving this meal 4 stars due to the wait. 40 minutes after we ordered, we were told they no longer had the leek quiche. We switched to bacon and mushrooms and it took another 20 minutes before we got our food. In this time, no one came to check on our table or apologize for the wait until we flagged someone down (for a refill on our waters, for clean silverware, etc. . It was a bit disappointing considering we ordered 2 desserts and 3 meals (1 to go for 2 people.
Amazing food! April was amazing server! Wow! Had a fantastic breakfast here this week! I wish I could eat their quiche every day!! The outdoor patio is charming and shaded, my mocha with almond milk was perfect, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!
