The only reason this place isn't getting 5 stars is because it took way too long to receive the food. Although it was a Saturday evening, there was a decent amount of customers but it wasn't full. We were seated and not even a minute later the waiter came by asking what we were going to eat. I asked him to please give us a minute as we had not had a chance to look through the menu yet. He got our drinks, and a few mi... View all feedback.
What Cristy Castano doesn't like about La Fogata Kendall:
Food was not bad, but not stellar, especially compared to the prices. The lunch special was $23. If that is special ', then they can keep it. One time and done. Also, Gallo Pinto is NOT congri, which is practically what they served minus the pork pieces. No cilatro, no onions. Just rice and beans cooked together. Bogus View all feedback.
Make sure if you’re in Kendall that you go to this restaurant you won’t be disappointed if you’re not in Kendall this place is worth the drive everything on the menu is delicious I’ve had the pork chop lunch special well worth the price the other foods coming out of the kitchen looks delicious every day of the week they have a different lunch special the service is fast and attentive you won’t be disappointed the steak look incredible this is a Nicaraguan steakhouse Check out the menu I posted in a picture
I had fish tacos, rice and beans, and caramel flan. Food was hot, fast, and amazing! I highly recommend!
While I am no expert in Nicaraguan food, I will say that La Fogata does an excellent job of delivering a delicious steak to your table. I went to visit yesterday with my family and we enjoyed our meals. The plates were nice and hot, well seasoned, and came out in a timely matter despite the fact that the restaurant was swamped with pick up and to-go orders. Like many restaurants post Covid, La Fogata is in need of staff members, but all things considered the service was still excellent. One thing I did particularly enjoy about this place is that the tip is already included on your bill. I’m a strong advocate for tipping above the 15% because these waitstaff members do work incredibly hard. So seeing that this restaurant cares about their employees getting paid a fair tip, really impressed me. Definitely worth a visit and will definitely be coming back.
Delicious Nicaraguan grill. The Carne Asada was tender and well seasoned.
This is my second visit and I really like this place. I've gone Friday evening and there was a live band. Also visited on Saturday for lunch and the place is excellent. Family friendly but since it's cozy there isn't a lot of room for strollers if you have small children. The food is very good, affordable and timely. Service is good as well.
