Turned out I needed both for now. The roast pork is hand chopped to the point of having been in a food processor with the onions and crispy skin. I love the skin addition. I ordered no picante (hot sauce) since I didn't know what they used so I could use my own (Crystal). I judge Cuban restaurants by their roast pork and this was rather flat and the quantity of meat was small. I discarded the top half of both sandwiches and put them together to make one. The lady at the register was very helpful and very polite.
The pan con lechon is to die for, the help not very friendly but I can deal with it because of the food.
The best of the best that I can recommend is spectacular I love it EL MEJOR PAN CON LECHÓN DONDE PAPO LLEGA Y PON
I won't call this place Puerto Rican, if I'm not mistaken it started out as Cuban and was taken over by Dominicans. The pork, the only thing I there, is fantastic with the citrus mojo and hot sauce.
I've been going here for the past 15 years. ? Since the prior owners. Music, vibe, can't go wrong. Bread..lechon..LOVE IT.
